Family owned and operated in Bergen County, New Jersey since the early 1980's, Benson Ver Hage Electric is a classic Mom and Pop business. Rich and Doris Ver Hage bought the business in 1984 and quickly made it their own. Working side by side, after Rich spent years working as an electrician and manager for others. They grew this business into the multifaceted company it is today. By bringing in two of their sons, they were able to expand not only the workload but also the area they could cover. The business began in Closter, NJ and now has offices in Midland Park, NJ and Wyckoff, NJ. We operate our business out of Bergen County, but we service all of New Jersey and parts of New York and Pennsylvania. By keeping this a family business the family values are strong in the company. The family's strong work ethic makes for availability to their customers twenty four hours a day, seven days a week if an emergency were to arise after hours. The family's moral values assure customers a safe, clean, and friendly experience. All of our employees are fully trained and also believe in the same standards. An owner is only a phone call away for any customer who wants to speak or meet with them. Over the years as we have expanded, our services have grown. We can provide services from a small residential job to large corporate wirings. Residential jobs include service calls, small repairs, new circuits, new services, storm damage repairs, lighting design, recess lighting, surge protection and indoor, outdoor and new construction wiring. We can work with you to decide what system and size would be best for you. We provide all of the above-mentioned services and others to industrial and commercial businesses, small and large. We do machine and control panel wiring, installation and troubleshooting. We own and operate our own bucket truck that can assist in many areas. We can install and maintain parking lot lighting and poles, install and maintain ball field lighting, change signs, neon or otherwise, service traffic lights, repair or install fire sirens, poles and platforms and work on overhead power lines. An employee of our company can meet with you and discuss security lighting on your building and then install and maintain it for you. Outdoor security lighting is a great deterrent to thieves. We can provide you with energy saving audits and install energy saving lights, equipment and controls.
