      • Stay Away

        Staff is underqualified to be watching over the children and handling issues or situations that call for additional help. Multiple campers get bullied by other campers and the staff try to keep it as hush hush as possible. As a parent, you will not know what your child truly went through until you pick them up. It doesn’t matter how much your child will try and advocate for themselves and try and get help, it will fall on deaf ears. The directors are awful and do not follow through. Parent laiasons do not return phone calls. Do yourself a favor and find another overnight camp like we have and you will see such a huge difference! It’s kind of funny that the only other reviews on this site are from the actual director at the time. Hopefully, for the future of the YMCA, they have done a complete overhaul of staff since our (and many others) traumatizing experiences.
