Farmers Insurance - Angelo Polcini

I have been with Angelo's agency for 8 years. He was always responsive and helpful when I needed something...until the last few weeks. I received my updated auto policy ID card in October 2023 that was good through April 2024. A few weeks into 2024 I received a notice from the NJMVC stating that I needed to purchase insurance or my registration would be suspended. This was very odd to me as I was under the assumption my auto policy was in tact. I called and left messages for Angelo that have not been returned. After speaking with Farmer's corporate office, they notified me that they had sent me a notice via mail that informed me they were switching from monthly billing to twice a year billing. I never received that piece of mail, and am not in the business of throwing away correspondence from my insurance provider. This knocked me off of auto pay, and with the updated method of payment, my policy was canceled. I did not receive anything stating this and was operating with the thought I still had auto insurance coverage. In a panic, I quickly signed up for a new auto policy with Farmers that was written through another company. That entire process was a nightmare. Just trying to get someone to send me temporary proof of insurance required 2 phone calls over the span of 2 hours. I hope everything is okay with Angelo, but when I needed him most, he was not available and did not return my call at all. Coupled with the complete ineptitude of the Farmers corporate staff, I will never again do business with them.
