I like the Edgar Felix memorial bikeway. On this review I was riding a bike. It is 100% paved but some areas the pavement has patches and gouges and is a little rough and some areas have brand new paving. You have several road crossings but they have warning signs for the traffic that it's crossing and I found most of the traffic will stop to let you across they're not exceptionally busy roads. I think one of the neatest parts is the bridges that cross the Garden State Parkway, The bridges are a little narrow I would not want to pass somebody going over the bridge so I wait to make sure it's clear first. It ends in Allaire State Park. When you enter the park on this bikeway there is a locked gate, put everybody goes around it I don't understand why it's locked. Some areas in the park are narrow and windy in the woods, and the vegetation is not trimmed back but it's certainly passable. There is a restroom in Allaire State Park. The trail goes past Allaire Country store and you could stop for a snack or a drink. There is parking at Allaire State Park and then there's another spot along the way that has parking. At the start of the bikeway in Manasquan the only parking would be on the street.
