The owner came by to have a consultation about my driveway. He was very friendly and honest. He gave a lot of honest opinions and I felt that he was very trustworthy. I would definitely work with this company if I decide to move things further.

MacFarlane Asphalt Paving is the best paving company in New Jersey. They are courteous, prompt, reliable and price competitive. Their staff are highly skilled and deliver an excellent product. Pete Sr and Jr and awesome gentlemen and stand by their product. My family and friends use them and they also highly recommend them. What a great find for this service!

If I could give Peter McFarlane, his foreman and his crew more than 5 stars, I would! Peter was the only contractor who actually called me back when I was shopping around for an asphalt driveway repair or replacement. He met with me promptly, advised me on the work he felt would be most appropriate for our needs, and gave us a very reasonable quote and realistic time frame for when the work could be done. Peter emphasized that he never gives estimates, which would mean the price can change. It's always a quote and the cost will never be above that number. That alone gave me great confidence, along with the decades of experience in the business since 1959. We went with Peter, and much to my surprise, 3 weeks before our estimated time frame for the work, Peter said he was ready to do our job. The next day, he was at the house, and at the end of the day, we had a driveway resurfacing job that surpassed my expectations. We couldn't be happier with our experience with McFarlane Paving. Highly recommend.

Peter Jr. was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I knew from our original meeting he was my guy. He showed up and measured our 10,000 sq ft lot, we spoke about what my goals were for water run off and height adjustments, and he wrote me up an estimate on the spot. As a second generation contractor ive always found this method to be the most straight forward. Pricing was extremely competitive in comparison to other bids I received, but ultimately, the confidence in Peter and the history in the company is what won me over. Once we moved forward with the job I was not disappointed. Not everyday you come across a crew of guys that have been with the company over 20 years. I gave them access to whatever they needed as I couldn't be on site at all times. I couldn't be happier with the finished product and I will be using Macfarlane in the spring to do the other side of my building.
