This is what I can tell you about this facility; my brother suffered a TBI and was in a nursing home for a little over one year. The progress he has made at Universal in no less than impressive. They may not be perfect, who/what is, but they do try extremely hard to treat the patients/residents with care.

Rehab facility to repay N.J. $2.5M under Medicaid settlement A rehabilitation center for patients with traumatic brain injuries has agreed to repay the state $2.5 million in Medicaid funds, after a watchdog agency said it found a pattern of improper billing practices. The Office of the State Comptroller announced the $2.5 million settlement with Universal Institute of Livingston on Tuesday. During a five-year period, Universal submitted more than 10,000 unauthorized claims for reimbursement under Medicaid, the comptrollers office found.

Horrible place to work.Pro: you meet other workers who are in school trying to better themselves, and not stay at this place.Cons: The falsify documents, they treat their working horrible, no chance to move up unless you're​ white.  The talk to you as if you are uneducated, and have no other opportunity.  I would never put any relative or a dog in this facility.  I'm surprised​ the government has not shut them down yet. A lot​ of workers will not speak up, in fear that they might lose their​ jobs.  They hire anybody and fire the same way.  They have an extremely high turn over rate.  They will have you sign a blank document, and then write whatever they want on it about you.  I actually had this happen to me, which I was crazy to do.  I hope the state has an investigation​ about this place, because​ enough is enough.
