I called and immediately got someone on the phone and they were at my house within minutes extracting water out of my basement and helping to remediate a situation that could have gone south in 2 seconds. This wasnt the 1st time that theyve helped me in a crises. They are very thorough when it comes to determining wether theres a mold problem in your home that needs mitigating etc. They are now on my speed dial for life !!!!

I have now had the opportunity to work with the fine folks over at 2 River Group twice. In both instances the team was incredibly helpful working to understand the scope of the problem and recommending solutions. The work they did (one larger project, one smaller project) was high quality and completed on time. The team was professional throughout the process and I plan to work with them again in the future. Please read if considering hiring 2RG as legal action is pending: 2RG's reply comes on the cusp on my decision to decline a payment offer for my silence. While 2RG prefers to project a position limiting liability, the group has offered to pay me off, which I politely declined. No homeowner should go through this. I am not looking for a payout. My response to 2RG reply: 2RG performed all work that we were contracted to do completely & successfully. We then turned this over to a reputable roofing company... * 2RG was hired to address a leak. Stating that work was completed successfully, while not addressing that actual problem for which the group was hired, indicates a poor understanding of the expectations of the client. There were multiple issues with the original construction... * Homeowner met with Garden State Roofing (provided roofing contractor) on multiple occasions, the last of which was August 10. The statement that the homeowner was not available, is fraudulent. When the primary homeowner was working (traditional M-F schedule), as these visits were weekdays, homeowner's brother met with 2RG. 2RG states that is a contractor in "About Us" on its website. This is the group was hired. If a construction company is hired to repair a leak, but feels it is not the contractor for the job, why does the companys website offer this information? When the project and the going got tough, the 2RG ran and hid. Additionally, you have not called our office one time in the last several months. * Communication and contacts for initial project all completed with personal numbers. Erin, the coordinator had communicated via personal phone and text. As per below, both Erin and Scott were called on several occasions. Early calls were returned. Most recent phone calls, when project went awry, were not returned. Emails were then ignored. Text messages delivered, not responded to. As communication during project was via these modalities, homeowner's later attempts to contact group were as such. In summary, we went above and beyond to help ... * All homes have deficiencies, the job was 2RG was to properly identify and treat a leak. The group failed in both. I never expected 2 RG to address any other deficiency. In your own words, this propertys construction was a disaster ... * This review was in reply to our original builder. We were able to find competent builders after LOK Designs, and have had a great home, other than this leak. Business Response on Google May 23rd, 2022
Mr. Taliercio, Let us begin by saying, we have been in business for 14+ years & have built a solid reputation in the community and do not leave our customers hanging. Our reputation speaks for itself. 2RG performed all work that we were contracted to do completely & successfully. We then turned this over to a reputable roofing company for remedy and where it went or did not go is the responsibility of the customer, not 2RG. There were multiple issues with the original construction of your property that have been identified by many contractors: roofing, siding, gutters, fiberglass decking, and fencing - all of which 2RG contacted and showed for inspections as a courtesy in good faith in an effort to try & help at zero charge to you, as we were never hired to act as a general contractor on your behalf. Not once in more than seven visits to your property, have you been there to meet with a 2RG representative, or any other contractor we provided. Additionally, you have not called our office one time in the last several months. In summary, we went above and beyond to help as an act of good faith, but certainly can’t be made responsible or held accountable for the multiple issues and deficiencies that you have with your home. In your own words, this property’s construction was a “disaster” and one that 2 River Group had no hand in. We will not be held liable for another company’s faulty workmanship and are under no obligation to be harassed into working for unreasonable customers. We invite all to read your personal review on the building of your property: https://www.google.com/maps/place/LOK+Designs+LLC+%7C+General+Contractor+Somerset+County+NJ/@40.6514114,-77.2024775,7z/data=!4m10!1m3!8m2!1e1!2s104860662942885652461!3m5!1s0x89c397590e16fa7d:0x4a3a040f3aed2fa!8m2!3d40.6514114!4d-77.2024775!16s%2Fg%2F11crvmg3qr

LEGAL ACTION PENDING AGAINST 2 RIVER GROUP

I hired 2 Rivers Group to address and repair a rook leak in May of 2022. My home currently leaks more than prior to hiring this fraudulent sham of an operation.

Erin, the project scheduler, will assist until she loses interest. At that time, she will not return phone calls or messages. Scott, the owner (As I understand it), will offer false reassurances of the group's interest in completing the job. Once he loses interest, he will no longer return calls or messages.

Do not pay this company in advance. Once the job is thought to be complete, you will be ghosted, as I have, leaving me no other than to make every effort to ensure that no other hardworking homeowner succumbs the indifference of 2 River Group. No matter how many photos I provide of the continued leak, and the damage as a result, I will not receive a reply.

Your contract describes a 2 year guarantee. This is not true. 2 River will not stand behind this clause, necessitating a lawsuit.

The 2 Rivers Group has failed to provide completion of a project that will now cost much more than anticipated due to a failure to identify leaks.

The blithe and disinterested dismissal of my requests to move forward with a resolution have now resulted in extensive destruction of the interior of my home.

As a result, we are now four months beyond the supposed completion of the job, and the leak is worse than ever. We are more than 3 months since I made your company aware of the failure.

The details of my communications and hope that 2 River would complete the job.

Briefly recapping the events of the last 6 months

6/9/22 – Final Payment made for supposed completion of work to include Fiberglass Decking and Roofing Surfaces for interior leak.

6/27/22- Homeowner makes 2 Rivers aware that the leak repair did not work, showing video of pooling water in plastic covering in bathroom. Homeowner does not hear a response for 3 days. After hearing back, evaluation with a leak test is planned.

7/21/22- Leak test performed revealing several other sites of leak including suspected leaks at fencing and among flashing between siding.

7/26/22 – Discussion completed with Scott Beattie, who ensures that we will not be “left hanging” and that work will be coordinated by 2 Rivers Group.

Last call made to Erin 732 778 2871 on 8/8/22 @ 11:48 AM EST- No return call is ever received. Emails sent 7/22, 8/5, and 9/6. No reply received any email. Text messages are sent to Erin on 8/5 and 8/8. No reply to either message. Homeowner gives up on contact with Erin.

Last call made to Scott 732 737 1387 on 8/24/22 @ 10:20 AM EST- No return call is ever received.

Text messages sent to Scott on 9/6/22 pleading for a reply, who confirms that Garden State roofing will be going out with 2 Rivers construction manager. Site visit completed on 9/9/22. Neither construction manager, Scott, Erin, Garden State roofing, or anyone else from 2 Rivers attempts to make any contact with the homeowner to discuss invoice, damage, or plan.

Text message sent to Scott on Wednesday September 28 asking for update. No reply.

Text message sent to Scott on Friday September 30 asking for update. Again, no reply.
