The Indoor Air Quality Guru saved my home and kids from my home project that turned into an absolute home disaster. Concrete basement wall which was dry cut was the first disaster, then removing the contaminated 70 year old Rockwool Gold Bond insulation at the same time was the second disaster.. it got everywhere. Mark helped me to understand the cleanup process, confirm what I know and a lot of what I didn't know to get me through this remediation. I called Mark to come test some insulation that fell from the attic when I was changing a light fixture in my new (very old) house. He looked at it and told me it wasn't asbestos containing. He'd be happy to test it, but he knew exactly what the material was and it wasn't worth it (no upsell from Mark). But then he goes, "what's going on with that wall?" We'd had a plumbing emergency and the plumber cut through the plaster. I never really considered asbestos in plaster, but Mark told me for a house of my age it was worth testing. Turned out he was right, and I never would have known otherwise. The biggest thing though was that this was a few years ago. And even though it was a small job for him, Mark's taken "call me any time" to another level. I just bought a new house, too young to have asbestos concerns, and Mark talked me through a bunch of general environmental questions I had for him even though there was no work in it for him. Mark's just a good guy. He's honest, knowledgeable and genuinely cares. I couldn't give a higher rec for environmental testing needs.
