Great food! I ordered yellow dal and saag paneer( Indian cottage cheese in spinach). Made me feel like Im having my moms home cooked food. Less oil, less spice,less salt.

I have been coming to the restaurant for the past 25 years almost weekly. The food has always been fresh and lip smacking . We have now moved to Pennsylvania and visited the restaurant last night for dinner. Brought back so many fond memories. The quality of food and taste has been maintained for 25 years. What a breath of fresh air in finding a delicious and satisfying meal with the cutest little atmosphere. Really was surprised by the amount of options & was happy that neither quality or quantity was compromised. Found this gem on a work trip & happy I took the leap of faith. With so many options around, the clay oven has definitely proven by its the best around. 10/10.

Pros: The food tastes good and is sold at a good price. It is worth checking out if you are in the Ledgewood/Roxbury Township area and would like to try some Indian food. The owner is nice along with the waiters. The food such as as their butter chicken is delicious. Cons: They don't give cup holder trays when you order two or more drinks (I have ordered three mango lassis a few times in my takeout order). They put them together and pack them in brown paper bags. This is a method I have never seen before (no fast food places, restaurants, etc.) and is very inefficient, since it just puts the drinks at a higher risk of spilling in the car, walking to your house, etc. Two mango lassis spilled in my car ride home. The owner and restaurant did replace them but I had to drive back there. Overall, it is worth trying Indian food at this restaurant if you are in the area. I have eaten there many times in the restaurant and ordered takeout as well. If you do order takeout, I would recommend avoiding ordering drinks, unless it is like a can of soda and pre-packed. Dietary restrictions: The waiters always ask if we have any dietary restrictions or allergies. Kid-friendliness: The staff and owner were nice and friendly to our family, including our two young kids.
