If I could give zero stars I would..my mother was dying and needed some money transferred. She was able to speak with someone on the phone who told her it didn't matter, she would have to come in person (in a hospital bed?). From here it only got worse. I had power of attorney, general and unlimited, and wanted to have this known by the PNC to manage her bills. More than a month later, no phone call. In the meantime she passed away and I gave them the papers to establish an Estate Account and was told that someone would get back to me when the paperwork was processed. Turns out my mother's checking account had been frozen by PNC. The young man who helped me said that the person who froze the account was the only person who could lift the freeze (sounds like a Harry Potter book). In any event the young man never said how long it would take to reverse this freeze. On day 2 I spoke with him and he was apologetic and said he totally understood my frustration. On day 3 I went in and said by now it should be unfrozen. "NO" bellowed the bank manager, "it must be reviewed!" Was I ever told this? No. The lack of communication, the aggravation piled on top of the normal grief of my mom's passing (not to mention trying to satisfy the creditors) was overwhelming. That same day I had enough so I went to the TD bank up the road and ended the hassle. Within 15 minutes Nikki had an estate account established and checks ready to be drawn. If you want a minor checking account or a local ATM, maybe you could use this PNC but anything else, don't bother. With the exception of Ana, who is always on the ball, this bank and it's staff are thoroughly lacking in everything but incompetence.

Very Disappointed. Needed a fee removed. And PNC selfishly refused to remove even under these hard times, during an international crisis. Fee was not even my fault. SELFISH BANK.
