You were charged for the first service, which had to do with rebuilding your carburetors, replacing the fuel pump, and cleaning up various fuel system items. After the service, the engine ran, note that it did not run when it was brought to us. Before releasing it in time for the 4th of July holiday, it seemed to run good at idle and under load.It was returned to us after the holiday with some complaints. The engine would not take throttle, but would idle all day long. We spent a couple hours verifying the fuel system was clean, running the engine on different fuel, checking ignition components, going though various diagnostics procedures, etc. After some time the boat was returned, with no bill, and it was suggested to bring it to a dealer or shop that has more diagnostic tools related to Nissan/Tohatsu engines. The reason being that the part we suspected to be faulty would cost in upwards of $500.00, something that we could not confirm, but possibly another shop can confirm the fault.We didn't notice a sense of urgency during the final time we had the boat. Dealing directly with us is a preferred method rather than sending friends/family. This review brought a third person into the mix for just a single boat, which is unreasonable and could in fact lead to some communication issues.
