No reason to be going to the Melting pot in when you have so much to offer in Hoboken, however i found this one a step above the rest

A place with pizazz, but lacking in flavor. If you want a nice presentation, this can be a fun dining experience. If you want good fondue, not the best place. I also find it dramatically overpriced given the quality of the food.

Fondue dinner here makes a fun experience, though it's a bit pricey for the quantity and quality you get. Staffs are friendly but not very attentive, especially considering the place was nearly empty when we went on a week night.

Here is what was wrong: - terrible service a. my waiter took about 10 minutes to bring us our menus, and he forgot to take our drink order. b. he rarely came to check on how we were doing. probably because they included 18% tip on a four person bill. - portion manipulation On my previous visit here, me and my girlfriend shared a one person four course experience. the portions were a decent size, enough for us to share. However, this time we were with another couple (also shared a one person four course experience.) a. So, when our cheese appetizers arrived we were asked if the waiter could prepare it in one pot because the other stove top was glitchy at first and took too long to warm up. We agreed and in return had to slouch over each other for the little amount of cheese we were given. b. For dessert, each couple ordered a chocolate fondue. Our dipping foods (brownies, cake, cheesecake, etc.) were combined on one plate for all four of us which was not requested. The chocolate serving was much smaller than the one we received on our last visit. Also, the dipping foods were less than last time and it was supposedly for two people. Shouldn't the serving we received for two people be bigger than the one we received last time for one person? I'd like to know how two people can share one small slice of cheesecake. Since it was so small we ordered another one person serving for all four of us. I wasn't surprised to see that the dipping foods we were given were basically the same, and had one slice of cheesecake (minus the cherry on top). So, if the waiter had divided the foods the way he should've, each couple would have received their own slice of cheesecake. When we complained we were told we were given a portion for two. This was obviously a lie. Perhaps we were cheated of proper portions to compensate for the guests that left without paying their bills when the fire alarm went off. Either way, it is unacceptable and we will not go back again. I suggest you do the same.
