stay clear!!.it isnt the same old kens, when george and his wife ran it for almost 40 yrs..the prices are horrible, and the service comes with a chip on its shoulder...anyone charging 4.25$ for a buttered roll, and 18$ for a roastbeef sandwich..is bonkers!.i understand its bergen county, but not beverly hills ...save your money and go somewhere else.

**REVIEW UPDATE** Kens has significantly improved the quality of its food since the new owners took over. The meat is fresh and not filled with grey veins like it was in the beginning. Prices are a little more expensive than before but fair in todays setting. Overall, satisfied with the direction its heading and safe to say that people can give it a try and let it be their favorite spot once again. The cashier could definitely be more friendly or work on being more approachable but this also improved since the beginning. ** Original Review** To be honest, the entirety of the Hillsdale community was proud and always satisfied with our local little deli that had the best sandwiches for the best prices since we were all in middle school around the corner at George White. It used to be a place you didnt have to contemplate about getting you would just wake up and go knowing youd be satisfied with the quality and the price of what you were getting. Sadly now its all different. Me and my friends have tried it once or twice now since its opening with the new owners and we went in there hopeful for the future but it has become far from what it used to be. The female owner always seems like she is uptight and angry about something even over the phone. If you want to lose over 80% of your constantly returning customers then good job you achieved that! The sandwiches themselves taste off for some reason with the chicken being gray in some spots and this happened on both occasions when I went. The BEC is not bad relatively the same but how could you mess that up. Prices have increased which is a shame but with rising inflation what could you expect. Very sad that this is the direction Kens went with the new owners. Hopefully we will all be willing to come back and try it again when we hear things are being handled differently.
