KinderCare at Hillsborough

Unfortunately I have to share a negative experience. Although the school may have a welcoming and homey experience that some described, the quality of learning is not there. My husband and I sent both our children to Kindercare, and both struggle academically in public school, and our child is in danger of being held back. At Kindercare, we were told by the 'teachers' (not certified teachers) and school that our kids were doing great academically, and on track. I feel that we were misled on the state of their academic ability and progression. Instead of being told of items that our children needed assistance with academically, we were told all was great and their 'report cards' from Kindercare said the same. Unfortunately, this school is a glorified daycare and does not adequately prepare children for school. If you are a working parent that relies a lot on the school to provide pre-k education to get your child ready for school, I strongly suggest you look at other options. Or you may be in for a rude awakening when your kids enter public school on how behind academically they are. We spent over $100,000 in "tuition" at the school, which just provided babysitting, basically. Also, the school nickels and dimes on fees, raises tuition every year (even when your child get older and moves to a class with a larger teacher to student ratio), and charges a large enrollment fee every September, for children already enrolled. Be sure to ask about enrollment fees and tuition increases if you are still considering Kindercare.

Kindercare is an excellent child care facility. It is all inclusive and Mr. Pete prepares breakfast, lunch, and snack for the kids. Allison is very welcoming and supportive and Michelle is very caring and energetic. We still use kindercare for back up care during school breaks and we love it. My daughter really loved being a part of the kindercare family for pre-k and pre-school and kinder camp. Plus their Halloween party is the best.

Love KinderCare!! Ms. Allison and Ms. Michelle are truly the best! To date, my three kids have gone here and I truly recommend it! The teachers are attentive and loving to every child and the family like atmosphere makes me feel secure each day I drop my child off.
