        The Taylor Steelworkers Historical Greenway includes the TISCO Complex and the nearby Union Forge Bridge, built with Carnegie steel in 1890. The main office-looking building is inscribed Taylor Wharton Iron & Steel and dates to 1742. The site is old but not haunted (at least by day), and its a thrill to pace the park-like grounds dreaming of the long centuries of work and life here. There are ruins nearby in the woods that sing to both tactile time and weird NJ. Much praise to the community for letting us amateur historians roam as free as we do.
