My first experience and it was great! The secretary Maria was very kind and understand. Dr. Trava was nice, great bedside manner, checked on me every step of the way, explained everything in great detail and was my favorite super gentle with his injections.

A few weeks ago I reached out to this office to have work done for a root canal. Dr. James Yang and his staff were amazing. They were very professional and courteous in every way. Dr Yang made you feel extremely comfortable by explaining the process every step of the way. He took his time to explain any questions that I had. I was also impressed with his follow up calls, checking in to see how everything was going. If you need a root canal I strongly recommend Dr Yang.

Dr. Trava is my doctor for 30+ years. He just did 1 of my 2 root canals a couple months ago. Great skilled Dr with a good calming bedside manner yes however, I sadly learned today he is all about the money. Nothing but money. His concern is not u the patient or ur well being, it's about the fact he wasn't paid fo the other tooth. I'll explain. I have a payment arrangement at the office for the tooth he just did. Waiting on the 2nd tooth which was already cracked (back molar), a piece broke off yesterday (Sunday)(today is Monday). There's a throb & ache & the nerve is exposed. With the nerve being exposed it's so sensitive to air, saliva, my tongue hitting it, any food/liquid that accidentally finds it's way over there I see stars, the quiver & pain makes me want to jump out of my skin, it is so bad, the nerve is exposed & it's bad. My husband & I both recently got covid, we were extremely sick & both were hospitalized. We are now diagnosed with long haul covid. I had double pneumonia with my covid & my husband had a heart attack & now has major heart issues. My husband has been out of work. I am already on partial disability. My husband is in the process of applying for disability. I have 2 elderly parents in their 80's & a mom with terminal cancer where I am out of state to take care of her. With my parents fixed income & their struggle, I  help pay their way & some of their bills. I've never been a rich person to begin with but covid has really financially impacted us. I went through all savings. Credit has been hurt even though payments are being made. This morning I called Dr. Trava's office to make an emergency appointment for today to get out of this horrible pain, I was told  Dr. Trava would call me back. (mind u he never called me back yesterday as an emergency when I called to see what to do & how to stop the pain & sensation from the tooth breaking exposing nerve.) Dr. Trava calls me, he asked what was going on, I told him in detail & explained the great pain & discomfort I was in. I told him as a diabetic I wasn't able to eat or really drink because of the nerve being exposed & all that pain. He agreed with the pain the broken tooth & nerve exposure would cause but that's when he told me, "I sorry, I cannot see u, u can't come in, u can't have another tooth done until the other balance is taken care of. It has to be paid first." I was shocked & disappointed.  Meanwhile I'm still in discomfort & need something at least temporary to cover the nerve. I literally begged Dr. Trava to see me. I explained I have been his patient for over 30 years & always have paid my bills.  Always. I explained about the recent bout of covid, about my husband having the heart attack & being out of work. I even explained about my parents but he didn't care about me or the pain I'm in, all he cared about was getting paid. No compassion. I cannot tell you how saddened I am about this.  I never knew this about him. For me it's not as easy as finding another Dr, I have a real medical phobia. I already know Dr. Trava & trusted him for over 30 years. I am in pain, I already cried this morning after speaking to Dr. Trava, I needed help but he turned his back on me. He took an Oath, I thought he was to put people first & get them out of immediate pain. If he could do this to me, his patient of 30 years, who fell on extremely hard times, who always paid her bills, then what would he do to u in ur time of need, especially if u are short money & in pain??  He cares more about his money & getting paid then he does u the patient & helping u & getting u out of trouble/ pain. Sad & unfortunate. Dr Robert Baklajian who is a cardiologist in Paramus thank God is the complete opposite, he is compassionate, Dr. Baklajian truly cares about u the patient, ur health & ur well being first not the money or getting paid. He puts the patient first not the money unlike Dr. Trava. I am in pain with a dental emergency & Dr. Trava turned his back on me.  Find another Dr. Who will never do this to u in ur time of need.  He's only compassionate about his money. Sad.Update: Dr Trava threatened me with a legal lawsuit unless I take down my reviews.
