Located off a busy 46 East in Fairfield, this family-owned and operated establishment is one of our favorites for sweet desserts and Italian pastries. Upon arrival at Calandras, the recently remodeled bakery was busy, which is a good thing, and moved fast on Easter Sunday. Parking was not a problem. My partner and I decided on an 8 raspberry square cake. The cake was not only visually stunning, but it was also incredibly delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the moist layers melted in our mouths. We can recommend this place.

I love the breads from here. It's warm fresh and toasty. I'm wondering how ordering a cake from here would be like.

Many times I have come to this bakery for years. My wife and I we have tried many of the cakes in display. However, last Sunday I bought the raspberry cake that didnt look the same as other times for some reason. When we ate it I know what was the difference the cream raspberry filling in between the layers of the cake it was extremely thick. By doing this in my opinion it overwhelms the flavor and sweetness of the cake. I found it to be too sugary. And you cant even taste any layer cake. The price has gone up but it understandable since everything is going up. However, the quality of the cake has gone down. I am dissatisfied.

Great place, employees were friendly and very helpful. Place was very clean and I felt very welcomed. Parking: Huge parking lot. So many places to park for free
