I recently followed up with Garden State Ortho due to knee instability. I had a ACL repair there in 2017 and a few years later, re-injured myself playing a sport. Since then I have had instability of the knee and it gives out. I went to follow up d/t the instability. I told them about what was going on and they thought it was probably arthritis? Im in late 20s making this very unlikely and I also do NOT have constant pain. He then took an XR of my knee and said I had arthritis based on the XR and diagnosed with with osteoarthtirits and suggest very expensive knee injections without other diagnostic testing. Also want to just add that I am in the medical field and saw NO arthritic changes on the XR. Just wanted to leave a review because I received my MRI results from Hospital of Special Surgery a few weeks later, turns out my ACL is indeed torn and there was no arthritic findings on the MRI. Also the doctor I saw at HSS wanted to schedule me for surgery PRIOR to the MRI results because after performing a physical exam and LISTENING to me he was sure it was my ACL again. Very unhappy with this practice. It seems like they wanted my $$$ for knee injections that would have not done a thing for instability and a TORN ACL.

I got an appointment for next day. There was almost no wait time to see the doctor. DR was attentive and listened. X-ray was no wait time. Prescription called into my pharmacy. This whole process took about an hour. What more could you ask for.
