My mom was a dentist so when I go to one My expectations are very high. I have never met more caring dentists then Dr. Powell and Dr.Mears. Excellent clinicians who dont try to sell you work you dont need. I travel from Long Island to them because I trust them.

Let me start by saying that I, like many, have always feared going to a dentist. On top of the apprehension, there is also a fear that some practitioners like to upsell work you may not necessarily need, but because you have good health insurance, they take advantage. Dr Powell was able to see me with an emergency treatment for a wisdom tooth impaction that was unbearably painful. His assistant, Regina, was courteous and very understanding of my fears. Dr Powell was able to treat me and explained to me every step of the treatment to ease my fears. Not only was the process smooth, but I was so well informed about my condition. There was no upsell of additional work to milk my insurance, but only the necessary treatment to help my condition. Everyone at the office was kind and courteous. You really felt like a patient and not a case number. If you are like me, and a little afraid of visits to the dentist, Dr Powell and his staff will treat you with understanding and provide you with a world class experience to help put you at ease for whatever treatment you need.

Have seen both Dr Powell and Dr Mears excellent care and I have dental-phobia! Kind, gentle and professional. There office staff is knowledgeable and efficient I will be coming in every 6 months for checkups. Highly recommend!
