Gautami Rao, MD

Dr Rao should not be practicing medicine. She was arrogant, rude and wouldn't let me speak or ask a question! She made a life altering diagnosis about my 20 year old son, without seeing the test results. When the results did come in, they proved she was wrong. Dr Rao treated us so badly, didn't listen to our concerns or questions, talked over me (like I'm too dumb to understand) and just bragged about her 20 years of experience at Yale. Dr Rao is the worst doctor I have ever met. She also put false information in my son's medical records, 2 weeks after our visit. She claims that my son has been on seizure medication since he was 12 years old. This is an outright lie. My son has NEVER had a seizure a day in his life and the first time he saw a neurologist was when he was 15. Dr Gautami Rao is dangerous. She cannot keep her patients straight and makes false diagnoses. Stay far, far away from this arrogant, rude and very dangerous doctor.

Best Neurologist Ive had yet! Dr. Rao was very attentive to me and took the time to listen to my complaints and involved me in creating a treatment plan I felt comfortable with and that has been working well for me! Highly recommend !!

Dr Gautami Rao made right from the first visit a very good impression. Her approach is warm and personable, one feels right away comfortable with her. She takes any anxiety or apprehension out of ones mind. Her assessments are professional and expert with a very nice manor of explaining the problem and assuring the patient of getting successful with reasonable and feasible treatments without going right away to extreme measures to solve the problem. She has a gift to put the patients at ease. I highly recommend her for er bedside manner and confident expertise.

Dr. Rao is a very kind and sincere expert in her field. She has your best interest in mind for you to live your life with epilepsy. She makes the right decisions for medications and dosages for your specific epilepsy condition. I feel very comfortable in her doctors office and on my own living my life with her recommendations.

When I tell you I was miserable I WAS MISERABLE. She has got to be THE BEST DR HANDS DOWN. She ACTUALLY listens to you , asks questions to get to the bottom of the issue and when I tell you she says what she means and means what she says THERE IS NO DOUBT she does. This is the 1st Dr THAT ACTUALLY CARES we are on track as of today and have a game plan with follow through. I promise there is NO DR that can replace her.
