I can't tell you a thing about the curriculum (although from the look of the crowd I'm sure it's some provocative form of free association meets not so free tuition) but last night we went to see a young relative perform in Wardlaw's Spring musical Into The Woods. Rarely, have I witnessed a production so elaborate this side of Broadway. The costumes alone were exquisite and Judging from the logjam of six figure German SUVs lining the parking lot I immediately stopped wondering where such funding could have possibly come from.Considering my own public high school production of M*A*S*H featured Army Surplus Store remnants for costumes and props I shudder to think what Wardlaw's prom may look like... Maybe Justin Timberlake and Beyonce performing live on a levitating platform of pure platinum. Like the bumper sticker says... My other car is a Ferrari. Times they sure have changed. A great show.

The school is grossly overpriced.  The teachers try to force parents to pay other teachers to tutor instead of helping their own students.  Obviously if multiple students are struggling with the same math teacher, year after year,  then it's the way she teaches.  You'd think that you're getting the best of the best here.  They are just surviving off of the perception that it's a plush private school.  You're better off saving your money and invest in a quality education.  They're antiquated and not student-centered.  There are a few teachers who have been there forever and they run the place.  Rigid is not rigor. Many of the teachers are rude and dismissive.  Counselors are a joke.  Not a nurturing environment at all.  Culturally insensitive and non inclusive. The headmaster is aloof, to say the least.  Instead of dealing with uncomfortable issues they sweep them under the rug.
