9/22/2023. I want to thank the manager, Dave, for contacting me and showing me that there are still people out there with ethics and kindness in their heart. Dave, called me yesterday to apologize to me over the experience I had at this location recently. He listened and assured me that this situation would be addressed with the employees. He also asked me if I still wanted the item and extended himself by finding the item for me at another store and dropping it off for me at the Edgewater, NJ store. I picked it up today. Thanks again Dave for your consideration and great customer service. 9/20/2023. 3 months ago I had a great experience at this location with the salesperson who assisted me. This morning, unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with one of the rudest salespeople named Nicole. I had placed an order online and went to pick up the item at the store. She was behind the counter looking at her phone and I approached her and said good morning but she barely acknowledged me; no eye contact until I repeated myself again I told her I was picking up my purchase. She responded abruptly " We don't have the item". Her tone was that of a person who did not want to help me and I feel she was bigoted just by her demeanor and the way she was responding to me. I have been a customer of The Vitamin Shoppe for decades and have spent lots of money there, so I expect great customer service and to be treated with respect. This young woman has a lot to learn about how to treat customers no matter who they are. I understand if the item was not in stock at the store, my complaint is the way she handled my situation. She should be reprimanded and trained properly, I will not shop at this store again. I still need to purchase this item I will have it shipped to my home, but would like to request free shipping for the terrible treatment I received at this store and for the fact that I am a long time customer. 06/2020 Great experience at this location. The young man who works there was very nice and professional. He had a smile all the time while assisting me and was very efficient. I will definitely return to this location and highly recommend it.
