John and his crew were really easy to work with the entire job, starting with the initial discussion we had about the work we were looking to have done through some last minute tweaks we wanted toward to the end. His proposal was clear, succinct, and easy to understand. John and his team communicate very well during the job so there's no surprises. John did two of our bathrooms a few years ago and more recently we hired him again to convert a screened-in porch to an office. He does great work. And perhaps more importantly for this kind of investment in our home, we totally trust him.

We had a positive experience with Szeles Construction during the challenging times of COVID. They did an exceptional job with our new master bedroom, master bathroom, and family room, complete with a gas fireplace. The professionalism and respect displayed by John and his crew are truly commendable. Last year John and his team did a great job rebuilding our front porch. We were very happy with the work and still get compliments on the porch. So, recently when we needed our roof and skylights replaced, I called John first. When I mentioned that the skylights had started to leak, John said he'd come the next day to have a look.He was able to get the job started right away, saving us from further damage. Our project was not small and was quite complex. Restoration plus an addition to our home built in the 1930s. Szeles Construction came highly recommended given the type of work we wanted done. We met with a number of other contractors but John Szeles was the only one who walked with us through the entire house, inside and out, with the initial set of design plans and told us what it would take. From the day we met he seemed as excited about the project as we did. Now, having had a relationship with John over the past few months, I can say that hiring John and his team is the best decision we could have made. Here is why: - John is Accountable - he shows up, himself to speak with you. He answers his phone and if hes busy he calls you back as soon as he can. His team are accountable - Manny and Juan are truly a pleasure to work with. - Honesty and Transparency - John tells you the truth, for better or for worse. He tells you how much things cost, and why, and there are no games, how refreshing. - John and his team take pride in work they do. Details matter to them. Their input and their thoughtfulness meant a lot to us. - Problem solving - Most, if not all, projects have a curveball or two thrown into them. None of the hurdles we encountered were Johns doing but each and every time he worked hard with us to find sensible solutions that fit our needs and our budget. We could not be happier with John and his team.
