        After recently losing my accountant, I heard about CSI group on the radio and how reasonable the prices were. Well I got to say that I'm disappointed. The service felt impersonal, I really didn't speak to an accountant. Just the person that confirmed they receive my paperwork and then another person called me to tell me how much I was getting and how much my rate would be. The charge was unreasonably higher than I've ever paid for the service I received. I wouldn't have mind paying what I paid if I could have sat with someone and ask questions regarding taxes. I'm paying more than what my refund will be.

        We have been going to CSI in NJ for years and I cant imagine getting my taxes done anywhere else. Jack Tinari in East Windsor is awesome. Hes knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy, and super accurate. If you need your taxes done, Jacks your man- he does not disappoint!

        If having your taxes prepared by a machine that doesn't care about customer service than this is the outfit for you! After paying their fee I asked when I would be provided a copy of my return. I was told I would receive it when my return was acknowledged and approved by the IRS. I've sent several emails asking when my return was submitted and what does "approved by the IRS" mean. I haven't received a response. I call and am hung up on. I think their $350 fee for a federal and one state return was high for such lousy service (if they're going to give cut rate service their fees should be scaled accordingly). Next year I'll definitely be using one of their competitors.

      CSI Group’s tax return preparation fees are based on the complexity of the individual return, in which the minimum fee is $250. While we do offer clients the choice of document drop-off as well as mailing documents into our office, we also take appointments in our 17 office locations throughout New Jersey and in Staten Island. This appointment allows our clients the time to meet with a tax preparer to discuss your particular return. Please call our office at 1-800-TAX-LAWS in the future to book any appointments. You are more than welcome to schedule an appointment with our offices at any time to discuss any concerns you may have. As always, this is free of charge.

      Ms. Fitzpatrick, We are disappointed to hear that you are unsatisfied with our service. As you stated, and our office has explained to you, you will receive your tax return once it is acknowledged and approved by the IRS. This statement is true, as the IRS needs time to review all returns prior to approval. In fact, your tax return has been accepted as of this morning, March 23, 2023. A copy of your tax return has been uploaded to your Client Portal.
