image Tim and Mike were amazing and a pleasure to work with. We have a fairly large commercial kitchen that was a full remodel. The kitchen was gutted and floor and ceiling tiles ripped out and redone. The plumbing and electrical wiring all new. So it was a large job. Tim and mike worked hard to complete the job so that we could use are kitchen again. From start to finish they updated us with each phase of the project and the work was impeccable. Each work day the job site was clean and clear of debris so our members and customers were safe. His attention to detail and making things perfect was a specialty. Our kitchen is complete and looks amazing. Also with each phase came inspections and each time they passed with no problem or suggested changes or fixes. I have total respect and faith in Bain Builders Construction. Anyone needing work done I promise you that you will love Tim as a person but you will find his work impeccable and you will be very happy. No job is to small or big for him. He just does fantastic work period. Services: General construction, Install flooring, Paint indoors, Painting, Commercial projects, General building construction, Interior finishing, Remodeling, Drywall installation, Plumbing fixture installation, Kitchen remodeling, Concrete pouring, Flooring

image From start to finish I enjoyed the process and the work is AMAZING!!! The project was on time and affordable. They are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure the project is staying on its timeline. I highly recommend them and will be using them on future projects.

image This review was difficult to write.
We debated not only because personally, we really like Tim and Mike, but we are also aware my husband was pretty tough on them.
We do think they meant well, just oversold their abilities. Not enough experience or knowledge. By the time we fully realized this, our house was gutted and we were basically homeless. We needed them to finish the work they started.
Some of the choice words they may respond with are warranted. Our frustration level caused us to behave badly often.
That said, there were so many areas of complaint, SO many issues. Many concerns may seem minor so highlighting only a few big ones in random order.
Our slab doors were incorrectly notched and hung by a sub-contracted handyman hired by Bain. The doors then had to be removed, repaired, then replaced by another contractor who while much more capable, was doing it as side work and could only work late at night at serious inconvenience to my family.
Our bathroom had to be totally ripped out then redone after not leveling or pitching the floor properly. Shower did not drain. Tiles and shelving were not level. First sub-contracted tiler was not insured which we were advised of only because Tim was upset he was unable to recoup the money he paid out. We were upset because why was this job not being properly monitored? Why did we have to come in to tell him it was wrong?
I will say that Bain Builders did re-do at their cost with good results, but we had to be out of our house in a rental property for an extra month at considerable expense.
We paid for and requested attic access pull down steps be installed. Tim advised us well after the access was completed that the only way to put steps in would be to pay an extra $1300 because only specialty steps would fit.
When we questioned this, we were told by Tim that we authorized the opening so there was nothing else to be done. No answer to why the opening was not built to accommodate the standard steps that were part of our quote. Why we were not told the access would not accommodate standard steps when we were asked to inspect?
The molding around the access panel fell literally on my husbands head a week after installation The laundry room cabinet doors built by a subcontractor broke within 2 weeks.
They installed our kitchen. I came the morning of the counter installation and told Mike that the cabinets were not level or square. Mike shared this with Tim who told me that the counter top people will adjust. I had to leave, questioning, but (stupidly) trusting his words as a qualified contractor, only to come back a few days later to find out that was not only was this not true, but instead of advising us, they continued on, putting up the tile back splash.
Tim brought in another cabinet installer to inspect as a 2nd opinion after we complained, who advised that the measurements and design done by a separate company (Lowes) were wrong causing the issue. While he was thorough in his explanation, we were totally floored that instead of advising us, he continued on as if it wasnt a problem. He didnt address until we brought it up as another problem.
The mess. Wires were left hanging from the street pole after being disconnected by his electricians. They left materials thrown out the window behind our bushes. They left debris, wood shavings, unused pieces of wood, cardboard boxes, empty paint cans. Things regularly blew into our neighbors yards rather than being properly disposed of.
We truly would not suggest hiring Bain Builders for more than the most basic handyman needs not requiring use of a level or Tsquare.
