5 Stars just to get your attention, this is in fact a -5 Star Review!!
I retained the legal services of Dan Barli, a Senior Partner.
The only good thing I can say is that I'm finally done with them and will never recommend them to anyone for anything, especially not Divorce Matters!
It started off good until I got to know just how Dan operates.
Dan does not respond to all questions or respond with details, therefore forcing one to ask again and again, which of course results in more and more hours of billing, essentially "milking the hours"!
Dan didn't know that a deadline had passed for more than 20 days, nor did he know that a motion to dismiss could be filed. I had to point this out to him!
Dan claimed he was the only one working on my case yet it was clear that someone else at times created documents. The digital world tells a lot when you know what to look for!
Dan doesn't properly proof-read documents, when questioned about why some requested items were not included, he would ignore the question(s) and just send an updated document. He also blamed autocorrect for basic grammar/spelling mistakes, which again means he didn't (properly) proof-read the document(s) before sending them to me. Should a Senior Partner be sending up to 6 versions of a document?!
Dan didn't even provide any timesheets for over 2 months, I had to specifically ask for them, and they didn't include a lot of details.
When I finally resigned, I asked Dan to specifically and explicitly answer about 5 questions ... he didn't, but instead deflected, avoided and blamed me/others. He would not apologize when in the wrong, nor take responsibility for his actions, or lack of actions.

I sincerely hope that nobody else goes through the same experience that I suffered through!
I read all their reviews yet I was still mistaken to retain their services.
That's on me, how Dan treated me is on him.
