This is a review of the services of Kevin Barry, attorney-at-law. Mr. Barry represented me for the eviction of a tenant in the City of Poughkeepsie. Mr. Barry was also my attorney when I purchased my property. I do not doubt Mr. Barry's integrity or knowledge. As I understand, he is well-known for his specialization in the area of real estate law. My issue with Mr. Barry is his timely actions and timely attention to matters. From the time I first contacted Mr. Barry over the phone UNTIL the time the tenant received notice for eviction, between 10 and 11 weeks had passed. Communication from Mr. Barry or his staff was irregular and haphazard. After the tenant finally received notice, the tenant had three months to leave--all of which Mr. Barry was familiar with. Communication from Mr. Barry's office was rarely initiated by him or staff. My realtor is familiar with Mr. Barry and a client of hers experienced almost the exact same circumstances: negligence or neglect in taking action or communicating back to client.
