        It was my first experience with patent lawyer. I came with little expectations to the free meeting and was praised with uniqueness of the invention, very high patentability chance, and how my invention will be in the top ten list of inventions the office came across. I was encouraged to start the process and to start looking into securing patent in other countries. Initial charge appeared too high but because of the five stars reviews here and encouragement during the first meeting I decided not to shop around and signed. After check was cashed I got the letter - not patentable. Most of the prior art mentioned in the letter was not relevant as it was for design we ruled as different in the first meeting. Very disappointed.

      Hi Serghei. We appreciate your concerns, but your review is misleading. We never tell clients that they have any guarantee of patentability—every potential patent has the risk of being incompatible with the prior patent art. That's why we always do the patent search.In fact, your review is evidence of our integrity: we do not pursue patents that we deem to be unpatentable during a patent search. A more unscrupulous patent firm would have pursued a full patent application, costing many times more than the patent search, even though your idea has little chance of patentability. Other Google Reviews have noted our track record in not taking clients money if we don't think they will be successful.Our prices are also cheaper than any of the large patent firms you will find in the area. You mention in your review that you didn't shop around—if you had, we are sure you would have discovered this.We understand your frustration with your invention being unpatentable and we hope you are successful in your future innovation endeavors. However, for everyone else reading this review, we would encourage you to do your research and go with a patent firm that gives you straight answers, even if they risk being disappointing on the short-term.
