Note: I am writing this review as the policy holder for a patient of this location. Save yourself a major headache and avoid Portrait Health/LifeStance like the plague. A member of my household under my health insurance was a patient at Portrait Health Centers earlier this year. After several visits with a therapist, we received an explanation of benefits from my insurance company stating that we owed the full provider charge of $195 per visit. We subsequently received a bill from Portrait Health reiterating this balance. However, our insurance provider confirmed that we should have only been charged a $25 copay. The problem is that Portrait Health Centers had not provided necessary documentation to our insurance. Normally, small billing issues like this shouldn't be a big deal--they're easily rectified once the misunderstanding is cleared up. In this case, however, it's been a months-long nightmare trying to get the issue resolved. We've attempted numerous times over the past few months to rectify this issue, but Portrait Health has not responded to any voicemails or emails. It's as if the entire organization has ceased communicating with patients. Out of an abundance of financial caution, my familer member ceased seeing their therapist until this issue was rectified, meaning that they've gone without needed care for some time now. I understand that Portrait Health has recently joined LifeStance, and that organizational change can be difficult. This complete and utter lack of communication, though, is inexcusable for a healthcare provider. It's demonstrative of a staggering lack of competence, and I would caution anyone against using Portrait Health/LifeStance Health. I may consider revising this review if I receive a timely response that provides a direct line to someone capable of solving this issue. Given the complete disregard with which we've been treated so far, though, I am not hopeful.
