    Dismissed from practice for not wanting to pay for their own insurance billing mistake. Detailed support: My first visit with them was not covered by insurance because they scheduled me too soon, ie, they had not waited at least 6 months from last visit with my previous dentist. My dental records had been transferred prior to all of this so I assume they just failed to review the dates correctly. I paid out of pocket, but later complained after I figured out it was their mistake. They responded with an emailed dismissal letter and scanned image of a check representing a refund. As a heads up, dismissal without appropriate cause can get you into legal trouble, (hint hint). UPDATE: "Verbally degraded" is a pretty strong accusation, and legally risky, considering you have no evidence (because it never happened). 1. I am confused by the accusation that I "verbally degraded" any of your staff. That did not happen. Maybe you chose the wrong term, or your staff is lying to you, but I was completely professional, just firm in my position that I was not going to be paying for your error. 2. If that is the case (ie, I "degraded" someone), why wasn't that reason cited in the dismissal letter? 3. How about responding to my point about the insurance billing being your error? That is what started all of this, and you refuse to own it or remediate. I did not receive any letter or check in the mail (only later via email), therefore you still owe me, and I am in the process of obtaining legal rep to make sure I am made whole. 4. I would request that you cease from making any false claims about me online. 5. Agree with your point that this could have been easily resolved, but you chose to terminate me without cause (other than your false accusation) and without written notice (other than the scanned image I later received upon my inquiry as to my next appt).

    I scheduled this appointment weeks ago, and provided my insurance information (I already confirmed with my insurance carrier that this office was in-network), yet the office waited until the day of my appointment to try and reach out to my insurance to get the specifics of my plan, and because they couldnt get ahold of my insurance last minute, they told me Id have to pay for the appointment in full out of pocket or reschedule (15 minutes before I was leaving to go to my appointment). I took off work for this appointment and they screwed me last minute. My insurance ends at the end of the month, so rescheduling is not a viable option. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have scheduled an appointment elsewhere in a timely fashion.

I went in dreading dental work (previous trauma not in this office) and she made me very comfortable, and was very understanding of my fear. Very professional staff from front desk, assistants, and Doctor! Would highly recommend Barclay Family Dental! Thanks for a great experience ladies!!!!

When my staff is verbally degraded over a billing issue that otherwise could have easily been resolved we make the choice to terminate that provider-patient relationship. It is a private practice any patient treating staff inappropriately is an acceptable reason to terminate the relationship. We wish you luck in finding a better fit .

Wow you gave us a 1 star review and our only interaction was you asking if we are in network with your insurance and us letting you know we are not. That’s really not a reason to degrade a business . Maybe you want to give your insurance company a one star review because hardly anyone is in network with that insurance for a reason.
