My wife and I have patronized Frames on Main / Legends Gallery for the past 25+ years. First with Randy and now with Greg, both have provided us with expert advice and high-quality work framing a wide variety and different sizes of our artwork. It is a pleasure dealing with a local retail establishment, owned, and operated by honest, nice people who are also true craftsmen and want to meet, if not exceed their customers expectations. I really do appreciate Gregs expertise and experience when it comes to considering and recommending various framing options. Specifically, his trained eye for coordinating the style, size, shape, and color of a frame, as well as the glass/plexiglass options, for any type of artwork that we have presented to him. As an Architect, I am very particular and appreciate his high attention to detail. A distinguishing factor is Gregs low-key and sensitive approach to analyzing, considering, and then suggesting various possible approaches to framing your artwork based on your stated objectives and his knowledge of what may work out best. I believe that Frames on Mains total costs for framing work are reasonable and in line with regional competitors. In addition, for those who are interested in framed and presentation quality sports memorabilia, his Legends Gallery, located in the same storefront, has an extensive and fascinating collection for sale of current and historical signed sports photographs, artwork depicting players and memorable events in all sports. They also have some interesting sports equipment on display and for sale, including signed NFL football helmets. If you have a specific item in mind that he may not have in stock, he most likely will be able to get it for you. Frames on Main is a truly remarkable small business retail experience. The owner is as much a curator of art as he is a framer of it. In spite of his encyclopedic knowledge of the artwork that adorns his showroom walls, he is an approachable, reasonable, and humble advisor to his customers. I have had him frame many things from me, all of which were deeply personal memories of mine, and he handled them as if they were his memories. His knowledge of framing glass and framing woods, composites, and metals is quite something to see. He will advise you responsibly on achieving the look and art dcor experience you're looking to accomplish, without any personal agendas or imposing points of view. His Gallery showroom is also impressive. He has commissioned famous rock and roll historian photographers, as well as a host of remarkable artists and partners with painters from all over the country, which means that if you do buy something from his walls, there's an extraordinarily good chance it's been done by someone who's either famous or is he burgeoning artist. Given his level of expertise, I'm impressed with how affordable his products and services are, even though he operates from a rather upper class community in Chatham, New Jersey. I recommend you give him a try and see what the entire North-Central New Jersey area has learned about Frames on Main: it is a turnkey, one-stop solution to virtually all of your keepsake, artwork and memory preservation needs.
