        Be sure to double check your reservation with this inn before traveling. Thankfully, I did this or I would have been hours from home with no where to stay. I had booked online, through their website, and received a confirmation number and receipt, that I printed out. A couple of days went by, and I felt uneasy about this reservation as I had not received a confirmation email like others I had just booked. I checked their website, and it showed the room that I had reserved as booked only for the night I requested. Still, I emailed the innkeeper through their site to double check. He replied with that he hadnt seen one come through yet. So, I replied back with pictures of my confirmation printout. I did not receive a response until 6 days later, after I sent a second message, stating that the inn already has a wedding on that date so they will not be able to host us this time around. (The dates were not blocked until a couple of days ago, a week after I booked.) Im not sure if there was a miscommunication on their end or if they decided to take the wedding instead of a couple of other bookings, but be sure to call to confirm your reservation. Edited to add: Dear Management, Thank you for your response. I understand about the email typo. I had wondered about that being a possibility, and that was one of the reasons that I had contacted you. I hope things go smoothly and well for you in the 2024 bookings. Best Regards, Amanda

      Dear Amanda,We too are dismayed at this unfortunate cancellation and share your frustration. This is a very rare occurrence at our small Inn of five rooms - the third such event in 20 years in business - but still one that has impacted you.A wedding party had booked all five of our guest rooms more than a year ago for that date and it was our error that one of the rooms had not been blocked out as you may have seen when you booked. There was also a delay in our reservation software giving you a confirmation email since you had a typo in your email address, but no matter, the end result is frustration and disappointment all around.We hope that you will give us a second chance to show you that we value your business and goodwill and wish you all the best in 2024.Best regards,Raritan Inn Management
