Short Hills Farm

Highly recommend Jess over at JML Equestrian/Short Hills Farm. Ive been taking lessons with Jess off and on for 10+ years. Jess and her facility made me feel so comfortable and at home. They have been nothing but supportive/helpful in my new journey of being a horse owner since 2020. My horse Luna has been boarded with the farm as well as in the lesson program. Glad I am apart to be apart of a farm that is so family oriented and welcoming. 10/10!

Jess has trained up my daughter from the age of 7 years old. Shes now 11. Jess was one of the only trainers who connected with my daughter and really took the time to learn her learning style as a sassy little girl. Jess not only has trained her up in her riding skills and confidence, she has also become a positive and encouraging role model to my daughter. We highly recommend Short Hill farms for anyone in the south Jersey area who is looking to be introduced to riding, level up in their riding, or go onto riding competitions even. Shes willing to work with all.

I started taking adult riding lessons with Jess at Short Hills in September 2023 and never dreamed of leaving. It is a small-scale, intimate riding barn that is great for beginners and more advanced riders alike. She's been a wonderful teacher and very patient even with a grown newbie to the sport/hobby. The love and passion she has for these beautiful animals shows with every step, and all her horses (even the elderly gentlemen and ladies) are in very fine condition. I never once question her advice and guidance as prioritizing both mine and the animals' safety and comfort. I look forward to learning and growing even more within the horse world for my weekly lessons, and I'm currently working towards trying out horse shows -- something I never thought I'd be ready for, since I started riding later in life. You can't go wrong with Jess and her family!

I love this farm. Cathy and Jess have become like family to me. I completely trust them with my horse, and I tend to be very particular about his care. They are an excellent resource for me and their borders as well as the horse community. I would give them 6 out of 5 Stars if it were possible!

My daughter Rylie has been taking lessons with Jess for 6 yrs . She absolutely loves the way she is treated like family with a no drama atmosphere , the horses at the farm are kid safe always happy to see a you , Jess is vary Patient and kind even when rye is on her off days and doesnt want to listen somehow Jess can talk her through it to have a great ride that day .now let me just say I have had horses for 40 plus yrs and with no doubt know that her horses and Borders horses are getting excellent care. I highly recommend Jess for lessons from beginner to advance
