Lived at Laurel Run for over 3 years, it was my first apartment after moving out when I graduated from school. Overall, they are nice apartments. You have plenty of space in your dining area and living room. Would have minded less space in the bedroom and more added to the kitchen (they were very small and cramped), but that's just me. Ben and Jessica were always wonderful and nice, have absolutely no complaints about either of them. My main issue is Harbor, the new owners of the property. When I originally moved in, Salem was the owner, and I would say these apartments were about in line with what other places in the area were charging. Harbor takes over, I want to say a little over a year ago (as to the circumstances why, I honestly couldn't tell you, forgive my ignorance), and the prices just JUMP! Now obviously there were a lot of other factors and prices were expected to increase, but it was getting to the point of being unable to live there. By the time I left, a 12 month lease would have been anywhere between $1.7-1.8k for a one bedroom. That was more than some luxury apartments in the area were charging. Wouldn't be surprised if its over $2k soon. And it's not like Harbor has been doing anything to spruce the place up. If anything, they were taking stuff away, as residents were now paying their own water bill, which had previously been included in the rent price. Great apartments, I just have issues with the affordability of it and how the extra money is being used.
