On December 21, 2021 my Lennox high-efficiency furnace was shutting down and not reaching the proper temperature. at 8 AM I called Joe Hurley Air conditioning and heating and explained the problem within one hour he had a mechanic at my house Eugene said he was ordering a pressure switch and just in case a circuit board. As soon as the pressure switch came in it was installed and the furnace was working. Mr. Joe Hurley called me the next day to see if everything was still working and told me he had the circuitboard but did not want me to spend unnecessary money if it wasnt needed he would hold it for a couple of days and then call me back before returning it. In todays world there are very few contractors that are that honest Joe Hurley INC.Gets six stars One year later, December 2022 I heard a funny sound in the middle of the night it sounded like running water. I put my ear to one of the floor vents and it sounded pretty loud. In the morning I called Joe Hurley Heating And Cooling and asked them to send a technician just to check out that the noise wasnt a problem. Bob came on time and I asked him to also check the April Aire humidifier if possibly the water sound was coming from that. Bob went down into my crawlspace where my furnace is located. Never complaining about having to crawl around on his knees and checked out the humidifier and the furnace. his observation that my house water softening system was located right underneath the vent where I heard the sound and he said it probably was backwashing and that was the sound you heard a very smart observation nothing was wrong with my furnace and all I did was pay for the service call. im sure there are contractors out there that wouldve told me I needed a part on my furnace and it wouldve cost me hundreds of dollars!! Joe Hurley is the best On Jan.2 at 9am my furnace did not come on ! I called Joe Hurley in less than 30minutes the tech.Bob came over to troubleshoot. This furnace is 12years old and has given me trouble the last 2 years. The technician said I needed a new blower motor and he would have the office check with warehouse on availability and price.the office called me back and said that the motor was in stock and the cost was $2,300. I decided to replace the furnace and asked for an estimate.Bob came over and gave me an estimate for a Lenox high efficiency 70,000BTU furnace and when he looked at my air conditioner condenser outside he said it was 25 years old and if I wanted to replace it with a lenox high efficiency I would save $1,400.replacing them together.He also told me that the Lenox furnace that was installed by another contractor 12 years ago was 90,000BTU and was not necessary for the size of my house . Joe Hurley let me borrow 3electric space heaters to keep me and my wife warm and two days later the new furnace was installed.JOE HURLEY is honest and has a very professional staff. In Jan. 2024 Joe Hurley replaced my 15yr. old Lenox furnace & 12yr.old air conditioner for a discount price to replace both. The furnace was giving me a problem the last few years & Joe Hurley kept it working, but this year the blower motor broke & replacing it would not be cost effective. He advised me to replace furnace because of age & I agreed.Bob the technician told me the other contractor who installed the Lenox furnace gave me a 90,000 BTU unit which was overkill for the size of my house.He estimated 70,000 BTUs based on sq. footage of my house, & it saves me money & works more efficiently. Bob told me if he sized it larger than 70,000 the owner Joe Hurley would not be happy because it would be dishonest for the homeowner !! This is what honest contractors do they don't cheat the customer. While a tech. team worked on the furnace installation in the crawl space other workers installed the Air conditioner outside the house. Because it was in January the freon could not be installed. I got a call to see if march 14 on a warm day would be good for Anthony to finish the job.I highly recommend Joe Hurley HVAC.
