I think this company did an outstanding job. We had an old acrylic stain that the previous home owners applied and it was peeling terribly. Premium Deck Restoration gave us a good quote and went over all the expectations and answered all our questions. They went above my expectations with the quality of work they did. The deck is completely renewed and refreshed and looks great. They sanded off the old stain, painted a fresh coat of white on the railings, and then applied 2 coats of high quality Benjamin Moore brand stain on the deck boards. Professionally & well done. I chose to use this business due to the outstanding reviews and the fact that I wanted to support a fellow small business. The start was wonderful, we got a quote quickly and was put on a waiting list. The gentleman that I spoke to contacted us when it was time to chose a color. We were never told that staining versus painting would bring a different color than the swatches he dropped off. So we chalked up the bad coloring to us not knowing any better. After they began, there were a few hiccups with power outlets and blowing fuses which was no big deal. After two days of work, the deck was "completed". The gentleman asked if he could stop by and pick-up a check. Not being satisfied with several spots not being stained at all, my husband emailed him a list of concerns. Most of these concerns centered around the lack of detail on painting railings and obvious spots that were not even touched with a paintbrush (please see pictures). The gentleman said he would be back the next day to fix it. Basically what he did was fix the more obvious spots and left the rest. He was then asking for a check again. At this point, my husband and I gave up and wanted to make sure that they were paid for the "job" that was done. We understood at that point that we would have to fix what we wanted fixed on our own and never use this company again. Fast forward, just barely 6 months later, the deck stain is completely wearing off in multiple spots. To any new homeowners out there or just someone wanting to support small business, please look elsewhere, do your research and don't settle/pay for a job not completed.
