My brother-in-law has been at Cedar Healthcare Center for half a year, and we are there frequently. I have found the staff to be consistently helpful and caring. They have difficult jobs but are always so nice. If you need to have your faith in human nature restored, interact with the nursing and activities staff at Cedar. My brother-in-laws health and quality of life have improved under their care.

My mom was a patient at this facility for 2.5 years. She went there in the hight of the pandemic and hours from where I live. I was unsure at the time, but it was the best decision I made.
I could have moved her closer to me and chose not to the staff and the care she got was remarkable. The support they showed me was amazing. I work in healthcare I understand the challenges they face everyday. I cant say enough about the care, love and respect the whole facility gave me and my mom.

If you or a loved one need's short term rehab you should seek Cedar Healthcare Center in Portsmouth. The staff truly cares about you. They care about your progress and want you to go home and succeed. Cedar cannot be beat. I enjoyed my stay immensely. Don't hesitate to go to Cedar!

My mom was diagnosed with Dementia several years ago which has recently become severe Alzheimer's. My dad had been her sole caregiver but with the progression of the disease we knew he was not capable of assisting her on his own any more. This was all new to us and we researched and searched facilities close to home where contact would be easy and she would be cared for by people that loved her like we do. We found that place in Cedar Healthcare in Portsmouth, NH. They went above and beyond educating us on what to expect, how we respond to mom, how to make her comfortable. She went through a period of adjustment but is doing so well. My elderly father visits everyday and the compassion and nurturing that my mom receives is overwhelming. From the doctors, to the nurses, and the aides. They are so kind to my mom, so patient. Mom feels cared for and we have access to her 24/7. If we have questions we can call, email, or stop by and always get a prompt response. She is not just "placed" she is actually "living" at Cedar. They have activity times, my mom gets to be outside, to walk, to go on little excursions with her new community. We are so grateful to them and so comfortable with how we are all treated. Thank you to all the hard working staff - that make this a positive experience in a very challenging time.
