NHOMS: New Hampshire Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Concord

I had two different appointments and had a lot of anxiety. The whole team (Dr. Fahmy, Jess, Trisha, and Shawna) was great. They were very caring and compassionate. Everything was well explained. I recommend this group to everyone!

The staff and drs are awesome but I find it very unethical to bring a credit card machine into the operating room to get the payment prior to treatment. I could not afford the $2500 up front cost of having bone grafts for future implants for two tooth extractions so she had to go out and recalculate just the extractions which still cost $357 for maybe 15 minutes of work for the dr! I waited for over and hour in the chair for this $357 service. I find the cost of dental care to be absolute extortion even with insurance! I understand that this is the USA and medical care is for profit but this is very sad and I feel a violation of the Hippocratic oath! I have gone to college and have a masters degree which cost me a fortune, probably close to what it costs a dentist to become qualified and I do not make the 6 to 8 figure income they must make. I really think the Drs and medical insurance industry in this country need to grow their collective consciousness and do something about this ridiculous system where only the wealthy can afford decent healthcare. I really dont know how they sleep at night!

I had an excellent experience from beginning to end. Shawna was very helpful from when I first made the appointment to the time I left after the extraction. Betsy was very kind, thorough and helpful throughout the procedure and Dr Fahney was just great. I could not have had a better surgeon. His gentle manner built up my confidence and reduced my anxiety. In fact the extraction was surprisingly quick and I experienced no significant discomfort either during the procedure or afterwards. No swelling, bruising and no need for any kind of painkiller. I could not be more satisfied with the outcome, and should the need arise for more extractions I would definitely hope that I could have Dr Fahney again as my surgeon. Many thanks to all of you and to NHMOS Concord for being able to fit me in with a relatively minimal delay.

To say my 11 yr was nervous to get 4! Teeth pulled out was an understatement. But the team at NHOMS was so awesome so she did awesome! Thank you so much for taking such great care of her (and me). Dr Bean, Renee, Betsy and Shawna are the best and I highly recommend this office for any oral surgery needs!
