We've worked with BHKA for over 2 decades.  I rely on them for business and personal financial advice, tax planning and preparation.  The company tax preparation is complex with multi-state filings.  We've never had a problem with any return that has been filed.  BHKA successfully represented the business for a state tax audit.   Recently, we received an outrageous tax bill from the IRS.  Tony did a great job of helping us resolve the problem.  The bill was eliminated completely.

I have had an extremely frustrating time dealing with this firm, specifically Jeff Ditman. My husband and I were going through a divorce in 2014 and he did our joint return, causing errors and penalties of more than $5,006.00 that I was only aware of this past fall when my husband told me that I owed money to the IRS. My ex-husband stated that I needed to pay half of the error, but I have still not been able to get an answer to what happened even after sending monthly emails requesting this information. Jeff stated that it was not a matter that I needed to know about because it did not relate to my personal return (I did not have a personal return and he had filed our joint return). I have never written a negative review, but the experience I am still going through warrants a warning to others. I now have to pay my lawyer and an investigator to simply get the basic information that explains what errors he made, and when, and how. When I asked Jeff to speak to someone above him he told me that nobody else there knows about my case except him, and refused to give me any help at all. Prior to having this firm do our taxes we had never had any errors or problems at all.
