my husband was visited and prescribed medication while in assisted living without notice to me and no visit notes provided...generations or staff never authorized for such visit...nor has his primary care doctor to see if such prescription was compatible with other medications he is taking. this is totally not acceptable. I shall pursue the matter further.

I brought a dear friend to have testing done due to loss of memory . The staff was knowledgeable, compassionate and available for any questions . While the process is not over night it was interesting and important to have a diagnosis and a plan for going forward and keeping her safe I. Her home as long as possible

I've had ECT treatment from Dr. Viehoff for the past several months. This has been a lifesaver for me ~ giving me back my life. Dr. Viehoff is top notch, easy to talk to and explains everything. His support staff is very professional and helpful.

My experience mirrors that of other reviews. 1. They do not send invitations to telehealth appointments out until the time of the appointment. I provided feedback and expected improvement, they could not deliver. 2. They tested my family member while sick. This illness ended up being the Flu A, which required a visit to the ED for dehydration the day after the full cognitive testing. They diagnosed severe dementia and were not open to retesting despite concerns about the inaccuracy of the testing from me and other family members. A severe dementia diagnosis means counselling to cope with the anxiety of such a diagnosis is not available. 3. They never considered other diagnoses to include COVID encephalopathy. Dementia is a diagnosis of exclusion. Additionally cognitive function should not improve greatly after diagnosis. Luckily we have seen considerable improvement! They are still not open to retesting. 4. Finally, I personally was not allowed to finish my sentences while talking to the provider over a telehealth call. The provider was also dismissive to the idea that the testing might have been done at a poor time. Based on my interactions, I do not believe they care to have a good relationship with the family and the patient. Overall, if you are concerned about a family member, I would try to find a provider that will listen to you/your loved one and consider all other possible causes. Your situation is challenging and depressing for your loved one and your family. Don't waste time with a group that will not be supportive and compassionate. Also any doc can prescribe donepezil.
