Nice staff, scuzzy patrons. First time at the Filotimo and at a casino in general. The restaurant was good. Would eat there again, but would not try gambling there again. Despite being packed, the staff was helpful explaining how the place was laid out and how the process of cashing out worked. I appreciated that they didnt seem frustrated with my greenness. While I was at the casino cage trying to get chips, the customer who finished at the cage before me came back over to start another conversation with the employee. The guy was twice my size and age and way too close to me while I was handling my cash. He was trying to make plans for next week with the employee, who was clearly not interested! Very uncomfortable situation for a young woman. Eventually, I got my chips. There was a whole room of tables that werent open. I bet because of staffing issues. I tried to find a blackjack table. One table had one seat left. Except the teenage boys who were sitting there pushed the chair back and closed the gap at the table so no one else could join! Even worse, they were taking pictures while playing the game! I dont think the dealer saw them. If they tried that at a REAL casino, theyd get kicked out. I tried to play slots, too. It was strange how the slots room was separated by a long hallway, detached from the rest of the action. The slots room was almost empty in comparison. There was a big sign above the door that said Non-Smoking but I could smell someone smoking in there. I also saw a middle aged man trying to grab and high five a young female dealers hand, and she looked very uncomfortable. No wonder why it was only 80/20 male/female on a Saturday night. This is not a female-friendly environment. The staff was nice enough, but the sketchy patrons really ruined my first casino experience. I never got to play a table game. So I cashed out and left. I then spent $100 down the road at Dave & Busters and had a much better time!
