I was in need of a new church home & God pointed me to Emmaus Church. Of course one of my thoughts to myself was "why Emmaus Church?" I had never even heard of Emmaus Church before. I am so glad this is where He directed me to go because I am really liking it there. Ive been there about a couple months now & everyone since my very first day have been so warm & welcoming. The pastor's name is Kevin & his wife is Lisa. They're fantastic individuals & as a team! You can tell that they both genuinely love the Lord & love what they do to serve Him. The pastor loves to crack jokes & make people smile, that is something you will frequently catch him doing. Let me tell you about his sermons. I enjoy them because he is passionate, educated/well informed, you always get something out of them, he is professional & the sermons are informative but at the same time he is entertaining & keeps things light & comical. His execution of this is spot on if you ask me! Plus I really like that the pastor keeps the focus on Jesus & the Bible, that's speaking in general not just his sermons. It is Bible based & it always comes back to Jesus, I appreciate that... So also not only is it really friendly & welcoming but the environment there is very judgment free & just filled with kindness & acceptance. It was clear to me from the start that no matter who you are or where you may come from (in any sense of the word), everyone is accepted! They just truly want to spread God's word & help as many people as possible know the gospel, Jesus & the beautiful, pure, faithful & unconditional love that He has for each & every one of us that the world is incapable of giving. Emmaus Church genuinely cares & loves Jesus, others & the Bible... This is why God lead me to Emmaus Church.
