Dr. Kwon's wife (who is a dentist in Peterborough), told me I needed 2 teeth extracted. I called Dr. Kwon's Keene office & was quoted a price over $1000. to extract both teeth. One of the fees was $70 to pack the socket so I wouldn't get "dry socket." I found this excessive - a nickel & dime fee that dentists seem to be doing more & more. So....I randomly called an Oral Surgeon in Concord for a 2nd opinion. In Concord, the oral surgeon agreed that I only needed 1 tooth (the one that was bothering me) extracted. Cost $440 which included x-rays, an exam, the extraction & packing the socket.

After several years of periodontal disease, I'd become discouraged by my condition. Part of this was due to the bedside manner of previous periodontists. My oral care at home is impeccable, but due to a glandular issue, my two lower front teeth are in rough shape. I had always assumed that getting implants would be needed, but this was largely due to the lack of communication on the part of previous specialists. After 7 years, Dr Kwon (and definitely his hygienists) dispelled the myths swirling inside my head. Knowing that my oral health was actually excellent and that my condition was very, very treatable has made a huge difference for me mentally. I have gone from avoiding appointments to going every three months simply due to a friendly staff who actually take the time to listen to their patients. I feel respected and cared for.

Dr Kwon had me laughing so hard I almost swallowed my tongue. This is a good thing! I hate going to dentists, especially oral surgeons . He made me forget that I was getting holes drilled in my jawbone. That is quite a talent. I dont know whats happening. Hes making me actually enjoy going to my appointments. And his staff is amazing. I cant imagine going any other place now.

Monadnock Perio & Implant Center is wonderful. My autistic son needed to have a wisdom tooth removed and was anxious about the procedure, but Dr. Kwon and Stacy made him feel so comfortable. I highly recommend them!

My daughters tooth became infected and due to her rare complex medical needs it was recommended that she urgently get the tooth pulled because it was very dangerous for her. She called all over in and out of state for weeks to oral surgeons, hospitals, dentists and no one was willing to help her even though leaving the tooth in risked sepsis. She was on antibiotics but the infection was still not resolving and she was in a great deal of discomfort and very concerned that we would not be able to find anyone even with her doctors desperately trying themselves too. She tried the office of an endodontist and they told her to call Monadnock Perio & Implant because they had heard wonderful things about Dr. Kwon and him helping people extract their teeth. She hung up and immediately called and informed the staff of her situation and they talked to Dr. Kwon on this same call and he graciously agreed to help right away and booked her for the very next day. We arrived the next afternoon eager for the infected tooth to be gone and get her out of danger. We were not prepared for the outstanding level of care and compassion she received. Dr. Kwon and staff made sure that she was comfortable both with a completely numb tooth and with all of her complex needs put above their own comfort and they did the procedure standing without tilting the chair back. This allowed her to be completely functional and in so much less pain then any other dental procedure she has ever had. We could not believe the level of amazing care that she received from Dr. Kwon and everyone of the staff that we interacted with. Dr. Kwon has graciously agreed to help her out with some other teeth and we are so very thankful and will see him for everything that he can do. I highly recommend Dr. Kwon and his team at Monadnock Perio & Implant and feel so incredibly lucky to have found them. They set the bar for how all dental interactions and procedures should be.
