I get medicine is a practice 'art', but this Endocrinologist should be reaching out to colleagues to have cases cross referenced, to be absolutely sure all possibilities have been researched. It is NOT against HIPPA to discuss symptoms patients have, as long as names aren't disclosed (I don't care of my name were mentioned, I LIKE drs to discuss patients symptoms so they compare notes). I HAVE requested a second opinion, but that won't happen until AFTER the new year! I don't know exactly how to tell a doctor that they're wrong, but I have pointed out obvious red flags and she still says it's a different disease than my symptoms dictate, unfortunately this is a COMMON mistake with new doctors and it's not about being right or wrong (except that it does affect treatment) a wait and see approach has ALREADY happened, hence my referral to an Endocrinologist, and after seeing she started in 2019, I can believe that she hasn't been practicing all that long anywhere, it's that she is New period, not just new to this hospital. I would contact her office AGAIN but I feel like, after sending an email days ago, and still not getting a response, I Feel AND believe She doesn't care about me. It's selfish to say that, but I'm not seeing an Endo because I'm lonely! I legitimately have a REAL issue, she has misdiagnosed it saying it's a similar disease but the treatments are WAY different, and now I am painfully paying the price. I do have an appointment for a second opinion but I am concerned I won't be well enough to make the appointment or worse . . .
