I purchased a home in the summer of 2020 built by Sousa Realty & Dev in Nov of 2009. The house is 11 1/2 years old and starting to fall apart. We had to replace the roof (14K) and the front entry way (10K). The windows installed are sub par contractor grade and will need to be replaced in the next couple of years (Cheapest est was 50k), the drywall installation was done poorly as nails are popping and seams are noticeably cracking. The Well system had to be fracked and the water system completely over hauled (20k). The craftsmen ship of the home is poor and the developer cut corners at every opportunity. My family and I have put 44K into this home so far. I would avoid anything built by Sousa but unfortunately any new construction will have the same issues as developers do not care about long term quality just short term money making curb appeal. It will look great for the first couple of years but start falling apart within 10 years. I am sure their craftsmanship and materials have only gotten better (J/k). In this housing market people are desperate and developers know it. Just make sure you have extra cash on hand, especially if buying a home from these frauds 10 years or older.
