Doesn't even deserve the one star.... Please do not send a loved one here for rehabilitation. My 84 year old Mom had her hip replaced and went to Fairview for rehabilitation and PT. We should have pulled her out on there on day one because it just got worse and worse from there. On day one her pain meds and all other meds were not ready to be given to her until late PM. We were told that they couldnt give her the pain meds until they were entered into their system. You would think this would have done prior to her arriving. My Mom was in severe pain from recent surgery and wasnt even offered a Tylenol. Took almost 6 hours for her to finally receive the pain pill. The nurse that was on when we arrived was going off her shift and never told the one coming in where we were with waiting for the medication-hence offered Tylenol. I would have thought that each patient would have a daily log and or notes that were documented and then read by the incoming. Apparently, this did not happen on the first day or any day for that matter. Nurses took FOREVER to get to my Mom after calling for help. It got to the point where my Mom would have no choice but to try on her own without assistance and then get reprimanded for it? You think they would have put 2 and 2 together?? This would happen at least once a day. On her first Sunday evening the overnight nurses were very mean to my Mom when she had to use her bathroom. My mom had been waiting for assistance when they finally got to her it was almost too late. The nurses accused my mom of yelling at them, they fired back at her. We called the nursing manager the next day to inform her what had happened. We never saw those nurses again, Mom was paid a little bit more attention to for the next day or sothen it dwindled back to mediocre. The truly alarming part is that my Mom would vomit when she walked around too much and get winded. This happened every single time she had physical therapy, which consisted of her walking down a hallway for 20 minutes. She would be given a trash can to vomit into and then put back to bed. Nothing more, never question why she was vomiting. Two weeks in was Christmas Day and we picked her up for the day to be home and with her family. We brought her back in the early evening. Two-Thirty in the morning we got a call from a nurse that she was being taken via ambulance to the hospital. She had a lot of blood in her stool. Long story short nobody in that place seemed to notice that an 84-year-old woman was vomiting nearly everyday, sometimes even a few times a day. My Mom was ill with Colitis. She was in the hospital for the next 3 days and DID NOT go back to Fairview. The lack of staff and follow-up with patients is disturbing. It seemed that no matter how much we spoke up about the care for my Mom, nothing really ever changed. Also, thank God my kids from out of town were staying for Christmas because instead of calling the emergency contact about the trip to the hospital, they called my Moms land line.seriously? I will never, ever recommend this place to anyone. Awful, awful, awful. 1-24-24 update- I was asked by the CEO to revise a portion of this review which is inaccurate. It was brought to my attention that my Mom did have 1 or 2 bowel movements while she was there. It was documented. I received several phone calls from the CEO within a weeks time.

Dear Tara,We want to extend our deepest apologies for the challenges your mother encountered during her second stay at Fairview Rehabilitation. Your feedback is incredibly important to us, and we take it very seriously. While we understand your frustration, we must clarify that there are several inaccuracies in your review. However, due to patient privacy regulations (HIPAA), we're unable to delve into specifics. This is disheartening, because some of these false statements are very damaging. We apologize for any distress caused to your family, and we thank you for bringing certain matters to our attention. As mentioned, I’ve contacted you several times to discuss your experience, and if you would like to discuss your concerns further, you can call me directly any time.Sincerely,Stephan Pazulski, CEO
