Over the past couple years they have gotten better. We have moved a couple times in Barrington and they have done a decent job making sure we get our mail. I think it really depends on which carrier you get.

Service at the counter is excellent. The personnel are friendly, helpful and efficient. Delivery to homes and mailboxes is another story. Mail is often delivered to the wrong address despite being clearly addressed. You can understand this happening rarely, but it seems to be an everyday occurance in the area where I live.

For decades the Barrington NH post office has been horrible for delivery. Today takes the cake! Said they tried to deliver... NOT TRUE no note in the mailbox. No note on my door. No packages in the package box. Post office closed at noon today. The certainly have no postmans motto any more!! Every time I get a package its a problem!! I have started to get stuff delivered to my work because the BARRINGTON NH post office is so horrible. Today I had to get it shipped home because of time. I should have known they would fail again.

I sent a package to a company in Barrington who has been there for years at the same location. (Sea Frost) At some point the name of their street changed. I sent a package to the old street name (Rte 4) a year ago and it was delivered. This year, my sent package was returned as "undeliverable". I sent it priority, so I had to pay another $7.90 to resend it. All so the mail carrier could make a point that you should have the new street name instead of the old street name, or what? It's a company that does a great volume of business, so I'm sure the carrier knew where to deliver it. Loser!

It is a constant occurance that the mail comes slow and on multiple occasions they have sent the mail to someone else and i have not recieved it. If they are not willing to give us our own mailboxes they should atleast have the decency to put it in the correct box!
