I have equipment that was no longer available through our normal distributor.
I decided to try local machinists.
What was described and asked for was matched perfectly.
We were listened to and understood.

Came in here with quite a pickle of a situation. I ended up having to deal with a stripped crankshaft bolt hole that needed to be rethreaded perfectly straight lest I end up with a wobbling pulley and long term internal engine damage. Previous car owner had crossthreaded the bolt and slammed it in with an impact.....A real hair puller. After coming up with a basic idea on how I needed to go about this, I started searching for a snout drilling fixture for my motor, to no avail. Came into McBride and after a 30 minute pow-wow we had a gameplan and they got to work. I returned almost exactly 24 hours later and found a gloriously machined tap guide waiting for me. It needed to be a tolerance fit and had to be quite precise, which it was. I installed it on my motor, ran my tap straight in and tested it. Boom. Perfectly true and pulled my pulley dead nuts onto my crank. I can't recommend these guys any higher. Very knowledgeable crew that get right into the nitty grittys. Thank you guys, I'll be back for more when the need arises.
