We enrolled our little one here as we were waitlisted at our first choice school. After being here for 6 months, we are sad to leave. Child Garden is not a full fledged school, it really is more of a neighborhood daycare but with a diligent owner who is a good educator and a good business woman. She is genuinely kind and runs a caring facility for your kids. The teachers in the baby class went beyond what we expected for baby care - our son seemed happy to be there and genuinely excited to see the teachers. It's small which I actually don't mind although the yard could use some major work. I can't comment on the older classes/teachers as we were planning on making a switch after a year, but most of the teachers seemed engaged (less a few folks) and happy to be around the kids and happy to be at this school. We will miss this place and would happily recommend it to others who are looking more for a well run, organized and caring small daycare setting.

My Daughter turned 3 and I thought it would be a great idea to take her to a daycare that would get her ready for school. This was my experience at this school: my child came home filthy everyday including clothing and face (with runny nose), my daughter came home with soiled underwear, and she's was sun burned. I went in for my lunch to visit the classroom and this is what I saw: children coming back from recess washing their hands by themselves. The child also had to go to the restroom by themselves without an adult standing by the restroom to see if they needed help wiping or insuring that they washed their hands. I expressed my concerns to the director and I didn't get anything but "I will talk to my staff" and that it was our fault for not communicating with the school. I was informed afterwards that the kids are outside in the morning from drop off so anytime from 7 am and on... they go inside at 9 am (2 hours outside for some kids) then they are outside another 30 minutes before lunch and they go outside from 3:30 until pick up. (so some kids are outside from 3:30-6:00 pm) I also picked up my child wet because they play with water beads and I was never informed. The director failed at meeting our expectations and didn't want to do anything with us so pretty much kicked us out of her day care. Save your time and money and go somewhere else! Willing to show you emails as proof to my experience.

My granddaughter loves going to her school. She has learned a lot here and at the same time has made friends. My son and I can tell she has a lot fun too. The staff is amazing! They've been very kind, patient and considerate with my son's situation. We thank you for helping us make our little Leia's time in school so enjoyable and successful.

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Child Garden! Hailey, the director, was always extremely communicative with me and with my daughters teacher, and answered a lot of questions for me. My daughters teacher, Miss Natalie, is the single best preschool teacher I have ever seen (and I worked in childcare as well as for the school district; shes the best of the best)! She was so loving and encouraging to my daughter (even had a cute personalized nick name for her), was always excited to see her when I dropped her off, had a genuine bond with all of her students and was nothing but welcoming and kind to myself and other parents. We have moved out of Reno, and were so sad to take our kiddo out of this school, but we use it as the standard for which we compare every preschool we look at for our kids now. My daughter attended Child Garden for a year and a half, and we had nothing but positive experiences with this school. I highly recommend it to anyone!
