Todd has a very deep understanding of wealth planning and investing, and is excellent at teaching it. He has a lot of great free articles and podcasts, plus you can learn much more from his books or his wealth planning course. All of his content has been outstanding value for money, and has vastly improved my financial literacy.

I'm a member of FIRE, so I listened to the Choose F.I. interview podcast two years ago. I think he has a insane take on investing. For instance if someone asks him about buy and hold investing, he rips apart the whole strategy. I even heard he runs away when someone claims to just buy the dip. If you sign up for his wealth planning course be prepared to be destroyed by whatever investing strategy you use because it sounds like this guy is crazy.

FinancialMentor.com offers great value whether you are a non-paying subscriber, or enrolled in one of the quality training courses provided. The wealth of quality, road-tested and researched information is deep at all levels of involvement on the site. Office Hours is a podcast I listen to every week. The learnings give you confidence to take control of your Wealth Plan. Something taught in the online training courses. Todd is there week in and week out offering teaching that frankly I haven't seen anywhere else. The site is well named because in the package you truly do get a Financial Mentor who has a deep understanding of this area and a very high level of caring in how he disseminates information.

I found Financial Mentor through the site's podcasts first. I knew quickly from listening to Todd that he was very well versed in not just building wealth but empowering people to build wealth and dispelling many of the dangerous half-truths floating around on the internet. I purchased his Expectancy Wealth Course and in short order knew I made the right decision. With a money back guarantee, there was no risk to me other than wasting some of my time. The course is built upon simple financial principles with you in the driver seat. It provides the structure and guidance to get you to where you want to go. You do the work and figure out what is the path for you. It's obvious there has been a lot of thought as well as trial and error to get it to this point but it's clearly an effective system to achieve financial freedom. There is also a lively and engaged forum and office hours to interact with Todd and other students. I have a MS in finance and investment and there are practical, next level concepts that weren't even on my radar. The course has a caused a paradigm shift for me. More than anything else though, it has provided me with hope and excitement about achieving financial freedom in order to pursue my goal of leading a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I came to Financial Mentor after struggling with trying to DIY my own "fat" FIRE path. I always felt that FIRE was always too simplistic with assumptions about investment returns. As is taught with the expectancy wealth planning course, there are a lot of good things that come from FIRE and Todd goes through the trade offs about the typical FIRE path and compares it to various alternative FIRE paths that are lesser known or almost never discussed in the open. By giving the broader spectrum, there was this initial funny and somewhat contradictory effect where my confidence about the original FIRE path I was on actually grew - because I gained the risk management tools, processes, and system in this course to deal with "uncertainty" as it arises. I'm now pursuing a slightly hybrid "FIRE" approach that puts me on a more fulfilling life path while ensuring I don't lose my financial future at the same time. As others have written, one of the best things about FinancialMentor.com is actually not about Todd, or even the course, but the community and office hour calls and discussions. The community acts like a support net in ensuring that others stay on track and being sources of motivation as well.
